Student Dies After Being ‘Crushed’ in Nightclub Queue

In tragic news, a student at Durham University has died after being ‘crushed by a fence’, outside the city centre nightclub Missoula. The incident was caused by other attendees in the queue pushing forward, which caused the crush. Police are investigating the case.

Missoula is a popular nightspot for students – with its Wednesday event often near or at full capacity. Yet queuing has been an issue in the past – with many suggesting the current practices in place at Missoula are inadequate.

It is alleged that a group of males were pushing forward from the back of the queue. This caused a melee. One student was believed to be trapped under a fence in the ensuing chaos, which was caused by the collapse of a safety barrier. Pictures circulating on social media show the length of the queue – which was substantial.

This was a tragic case. For a student to work so hard to make it to such a prestigious University, only to have their life taken due to mindless actions of others, really is truly harrowing.
