The Students’ Union of the University of Sheffield has once again been voted as the best in the United Kingdom. This accolade is awarded to the University for the tenth successive year – an impressive feat. This is great news for students at the University of Sheffield – who have long been enjoying the benefits of having an excellent students’ union. As mentioned, this result emanated from the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2018. The survey asked more than 20,000 students a range of questions on their University experience. 115 Universities were profiled throughout the survey, with results announced today (March 22).
The results suggest that the University of Sheffield is a great place to study. On their website, the University suggested that the institution was a ‘unique’ place to study and a ‘global leader’ in research and training.
The Students’ Union of the University of Sheffield is clearly very popular. The actual building is located in the centre of the campus, making it easy to reach for any student. There are over 300 student clubs and societies.
The entire set of results were favourable for the University of Sheffield. The University placed 5th for the best student experience – this was the eighth consecutive year that the institution has been ranked in the top five. Sheffield was third for both good social life and good societies. The University placed in the top ten for good facilities, and finished fifth for accommodation. All of these results were very impressive!
